Head of Infrastructure Credit Risk – Project & Leveraged Finance (m/f/d)
 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading the credit risk team for Infrastructure finance (telecoms, transportation, social infrastructure) and deputizing the division head in assigned matters
  • Conducting comprehensive credit risk assessments and analyses for project finance, leveraged buyout (LBO), and corporate financing transactions. This includes serving as a case officer and overseeing the work of team members
  • In-depth due diligence, evaluation of structures and determination of appropriate ratings 
  • Serving as a reliable and influential advisor to client-facing units during discussions on structures and credit matters on transactions lead-arranged by the bank
  • Monitoring portfolio, including annual reviews
  • Providing support, guidance and leadership to the team
  • Making valuable contributions to various credit risk division initiatives, policies, and projects

 

Requirements

 

  • Extensive work experience in Project Finance, LBO or other structured transactions, with in-depth analysis and due diligence experience either in a client-facing unit or in a credit risk function
  • A strong understanding of financing structures in the infrastructure project finance space and confidence in identifying and discussing potential improvements
  • Ideally experience in evaluating mezzanine and other junior and equity-like instruments
  • Experience in leading a team of experts and being able to clearly prioritize and providing structure 
  • Proficiency, trustworthiness, and effective communication abilities are essential for conveying the risk department's standpoint to other divisions, committees, and various project and working groups 
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) and at least a basic understanding of German
  • Ability to work analytically, precise and with high attention to details under time pressure in a high-paced environment

 

The position is governed by the collective agreement for banks and bankers. We are offering a competitive remuneration package starting at €80,000 per annum gross - depending on experience and relevant qualifications, we are also prepared to offer a higher compensation package - along with a range of benefits, including a job ticket, meal vouchers, flexible working hours, a company cell phone, and opportunities for further training.
