ESG Specialist / Banking (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis and assessment of new and existing business with regard to EU taxonomy (incl. no significant harm, etc.), SDGs and sustainability reporting (CSRD/ESRS) in close cooperation with our ESG officer and team as well as potential external service providers as part of a cross-functional transaction team
  • Preparation of all necessary data for comprehensive internal (Sustainability Board, Credit Committee) and external reporting (Sustainability Reporting, Regulatory Reporting) from new and existing business
  • Analysis and further development of the existing sustainability data analysis for new and existing business and development of a knowledge (deal-)database including external research
  • As deal-related point of contact within the Business Management Team interact with the transaction deal team, the internal ESG office and be in contact with the borrower, agents and external advisors
  • As a member of a cross-functional transaction team, you can use your experience in the ESG area to optimize new business with regard to sustainability and ensure the optimization of sustainability reporting
  • Share knowledge with and develop expertise within the larger banking team at KA
  • Stay on top of relevant regulatory and market developments 

Requirements

  • University degree (e.g. in Economics/Business Administration or Law or natural sciences or equivalent training)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in banking (mainly project or corporate finance) and / or ESG or in consulting in comparable positions as well as comprehensive expertise in sustainability reporting (CSRD / ESRS), EU taxonomy and evolving regulation
  • Knowledge of ESG requirements of various regulatory bodies and international financial institutions (IFIs, particular multilaterals like the World Bank etc.) is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills both internally with other departments and externally with the client as part of the deal team approach
  • Comfortable working with demanding clients, ideally experienced with helping them find solutions to their ESG challenges and related products (reporting, data collection etc.; green bonds, Art. 8 & 9 funds etc.)
  • Highly motivated and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and preferably also German / further languages an advantage)
     

In accordance with the collective agreement for bank employees and bankers, we ensure a remuneration that is in line with market standards and adjusted to your experience and qualifications. According to the collective agreement, the salary for this position starts at 4.000 euros.
